Daniel Vasilev Kostov is Chief in Department of Surgery at Naval Hospital of Varna and Military Medical Academy of Sofia, Bulgaria. He earned the undergraduate degree MD from Medical University, Varna, Bulgaria and postgraduate degree PhD and MSc Department of Surgery, Military Medical Academy, Sofia. Details of doctoral and postdoctoral degrees if applicable - Continent Colostomy and Liver Resection. He has published 180 research papers in national and international academic journals and authored 4 books. His research interests include lever resections, pancreatic resections, laparoscopic liver resections and oncology. He intends to pursue an improvement of laparoscopic surgery in future.
